Karajan himself talks in archive interviews and throughout the film there is his music, drawn from the many sound and audio-visual recordings made. Features special guest appearances from the BPO and VPO, Agnes Baltsa, Mirella Freni, Anne-Sophie Mutter and Claudio Abbado.
