In Hitler's Berlin in the Thirties, a young student falls for Sally Bowles, a beautiful singer at the Kit Kat Club, but finds he has a rival in the sophisticated Baron Von Henne. Set against the music and gaiety of the club, and the rising tide of anti-Semitism, CABARET underscores the tragedy of a society where freedom becomes a luxury.
