La Reine Margot

1572. France is being torn apart by bitter religious wars. Margot, the beautiful sister of King Charles IX, is forced to marry the Protestant Henri de Navarre in an effort to reconcile France. But six days after the marriage, the infamous St Bartholomew's massacre takes place. La Mole, wounded, knocks on Margot's door as asks for help and for the first time Margot falls in love.
