I'll Be There

Paul Kerr is a has-been 80's popstar who turned to alcohol as his fame died away. On a totally downward spiral, Paul is sent to a mental hospital on the assumption that he has become suicidal after crashing his motorcycle into a window and then a fountain on his estate. A woman named Rebecca and her daughter Olivia turn up to visit him, Rebecca claiming that Olivia is his daughter as a result of a one-night stand many years ago in Wales. Both Olivia and Paul begin to sense a new purpose in life and Paul decides to return home as a tentative romance begins to develop between him and Rebecca. Subsequently Paul discovers that his newfound daughter has a talent for singing and it looks as though he might be about to finally discover post-fame happiness.
